Cloning will break God’s monopoly on life creation

Cloning is simply taking the genes from one organism and copying them to create another organism with the same genetic foundation. There are surely many great medical achievements that will come from this ability.

The power of cloning can also be used to copy and create a human being, but so what? Many identical twins are born with identical genes but they don’t grow up identical because human behavior is largely dependent on learning, experience, and location. So if we clone a person, which is really like making another identical twin, why would that be a big deal? Even if we took the genes from Einstein and created another Einstein it is highly unlikely that that child would grow up to even understand Einstein’s theories.

Cloning is not a threat to life, but a threat to the theory that God creates life. Many people still believe that a mystical old man created the earth and each individual on earth. Even if that is true, why shouldn’t humans be allowed to copy and create other humans? Clinton feels close to God, because like God, Clinton is a revered figure who doesn’t really do anything, and maybe that similarity to God is why Clinton wants to restrict scientists from cloning humans and invading God’s monopoly on creation.
