First of all, the position of balls of fire or mass that are floating millions of light years away in remote galaxies do not effect daily occurrences in our lives. Even if these planets and stars which are completely out of our gravitation reach had some sort of remote effect on us, they would effect all of us equally. Their mysterious force would not be influenced by the date of ones birth nor would this force be able to effect with such precision as many horoscope predictions like "you will find money today". If horoscopes were true, then an 80 year old lady born on June 1 would have more in common with a 6 year old boy also born on June 1, than with another 80 year old woman who was born on December 1.
Horoscopes generally suck people in who dont realize how simple life really is. Horoscopes say things like, "you like to get your own way." "You need to be creative at work or you get bored quickly." "You will stay with your lover even though some times you get into big fights." When people read this kind of analysis, they get all excited that the predictions are true for them without realizing that those descriptions are true for everyone!
If you want to trap a horoscope believer, ask them to predict what month you were born. Eleven out of twelve times they will be wrong! But dont make too much fun of horoscope believers; instead you have to feel sorry for anyone who thinks that life is illogically controlled by abstract mystical powers from distant constellations.
