There is no such thing as intelligence

The only differnce between people is experience and focus. If you work efficiently everyday setting clear positive goals, you will become an expert at whatever you are working at. Since there are so many different jobs or areas of expertise in the world, everyone is inept or stupid at some tasks and everyone can become a master at others. Some people may have some superior brain powers, but even a slow learner, who is focused and hard working, will become an expert at a specific skill that he sets his mind to and will outlearn the natural genius who doesn't spend as much time or energy on that skill.

If someone never studied in school, got bad grades and then worked at some mindless job never taking the time to master the skills for that job, that person's lack of productivity would be perceived as stupidity. But their brain is not inherently different than anyone elses; they just haven't bothered to use their mind. At any age within a couple years, that underachiever, with a little effort, could transform himself into a "smart" person.

The unabomber was often defined in the press as "really intelligent." This crazed moron was probably called smart because he read thick books, wrote using big words, and knew lots of facts about the environment. Despite the fact that this guy was dangerous and clearly deranged, the popular use of the word "smart" could be used to describe the unabomber.

Other people like football players, TV or movie stars, and other successful people are called stupid because they are unable to read a classic boring novel or answer random trivia like "What is the Capital of North Dakota?" But their high salary and clear ability to master a specific skill, shows that they are in fact using their brain more effectively than the intellectuals who call them stupid.

The key to success is to find a specific valuable skill and focus on it. Anyone can do that regardless of the size of their brain. The word stupid was created by leaders who want to discourage certain people from using their brain and to elevate their own opinions and skills as inherently superior.
