Occasionally someone says God spoke to them, but no one else ever hears it and the person who heard it is usually a weirdo. Even if God did actually speak to a few people, what kind of King rules by occasionally whispering to random people?
God expects us to obey him without him ever coming out and directly telling us what to do. Consequently, we have thousands of religions and leaders who have their own interpretation of what God wants. Either God doesn’t give a crap what anyone does, or he is just a poor manager who expects us to read his mind.
We are all very busy and don’t have time to listen to these religious freaks who claim to "know God." If God really cared about helping us out, he would go on Larry King and lay down the law.
If there really is a Heaven and Hell with some specific rules for admittance, then God is really cruel. Nobody knows exactly what needs to be done to get into Heaven, yet most of us are trying our best to be good citizens. I can just see God laughing as a great person goes to hell because he didn’t say grace before breakfast everyday.
Most likely there is no God, and even if there was, it is unlikely that he would really care what we do on this small planet. But if God really is concerned and trying to manage the earth, then he needs to take some lessons in management skills and communication. In addition, the days of dictatorships are over, God should open up his Kingdom to free elections for everyone including Satan to run for King of the Universe.
