Someone please take off six o'clock local news.

You would think that one station would have the foresight to put on an interesting program at six o'clock. The six o'clock news is not only boring and lame negative stories, but those same stories are on all major networks at the same time. Even if their news was interesting, since all channels are showing the same stuff, simple business ecomonics (supply and demand) tells you to show different programming.

Every night they show fires and murders. Who cares? Bad shit happens and I don’t need to see the details of every wretched story every night. Local sports, weather, and various other stories can be interesting, but not interesting enough to be on every major network at the same time.

If one of the major networks had the balls to cancel their local news and show the Odd Couple or Hogan’s Heros instead, I guarantee they would win the ratings race.
