Get a job. Make money.
College is fun. A great time to have sex, meet people, drink beer, live on your own, and if you’re not at a party school, read books, solve equations, and write a little. First of all, if you really want to learn, then go study. Why do you need to pay thousands of dollars to go to a class when you can study on your own?
I went to college and it was a great experience. I learned a lot and had fun, but I was fortunate enough to have parents who could afford to pay for my study vacation. If I didn’t have the cash, I would have gotten a job and studied my craft and whatever else interested me on my own. If I hadn’t gone to school, I would be a lot richer than I am now because I would have been building my business for four more years than I have been.
The government should stop funding college. Kids who don’t have money should go out and make a living. The idea that you need college to make money is ludicrous. Instead of wasting your money on school, get a computer, learn how to build a web site with forms and then tell me you can’t find a well paying job. If you regularly study the computer industry and learn how to use computers you will always be able to get a good job and eventually get yourself into a position to start your own business.
Anyone can do this. And if you don’t like computers, then learn to like them. I should not have to pay for your education because you don’t like the industry that has lots of job opportunities. Someday when you are rich, you can sell your business and go to college to study fun topics.
As far as a Masters goes, forget it! Unless you are a rich kid who wants to relax and have someone tell you what to read, graduate school is definitely not worth the money.
