Some of us have bigger problems and obstacles to overcome, but that doesn’t matter because happiness comes from progress not perfection.

Regardless of what your problems are, here is a guaranteed way to make progress in solving them:

How to Wage War on a mental problem:

Write on a piece of paper what the problem is. Then make a positive statement that, if true, would mean your problem would be solved. Then at least once a day, for five minutes per day, take time to reaffirm and visualize examples of things you have done recently which proves that positive statement is true. (For example, if the problem is you eat too much, then the positive statement is that you eat just right. Everyday, you would visualize things done the day before which prove that you eat correctly.) If you do this everyday for one year, you will become thoroughly brainwashed and your positive visualizations will become reality.

Most people with problems are more interested in complaining and asking for sympathy than they are in actually working to solve their problems. Few people make it past Step 1 and virtually no one has enough desire to solve personal problems to commit to step 3.
