Saying the 10 Commandments were from God was the greatest marketing scheme of all times.

Moses knew the laws society needed: Don't kill each other, don't steal, respect others , obey your leader, etc.

Rather than tell everyone his ideas were right-on, he picked his top ten ideas and put them nicely onto stone tablets. (Really fancy for the time.) Then he told everyone, "I was walking on the mountain and God handed this to me. Gee, looks like some interesting ideas. Don't you think?"

Few people would have listened to Moses, but since he convinced everyone that his ideas were actually from God, people not only listened, they got excited. Before long, every home had a small scroll reminding them of Moses's top ten laws. To this day, people still believe that Moses actually met God.

If marketing genius Moses were alive today, he'd probably be richer than Bill Gates.
