I want my Cake and Eat it too!

Why can’t I have my cake and eat it too?? In fact, if you had cake, why wouldn’t you eat it? Are we supposed to wrap it up and put it in the freezer forever?

Someone recently informed me that the expression is really supposed to be “You can’t eat your cake and have it too”. In other words, if you eat your cake, you won’t have it anymore because it has been eaten. But couldn’t I eat my cake and buy another one. Or buy 2 cakes and only eat one?

Not only do I WANT my cake and eat it too. I actually do HAVE cake and I eat it! In fact, if you put a piece of cake in front of me, you better stand clear. Especially if that baby is chocolate and I am hungry, I will definitely eat it too! And no matter how much I eat, I can always get more.

Those who say I can’t have my cake and eat it too have an unnecessarily small and negative vision regarding the possibilities of life.
